Let us come together to develop a true spirituality of communion that opens us to others and keeps us in harmony with the whole of creation.

  • Let us keep our family spirit alive through local and international encounters and a sharing of information and experiences.
  • Let us help one another make of our local communities places of listening, sharing, reconciliation and compassion, where we can breathe “the sweet fragrance of Jesus Christ.” 2 Cor 2:15
  • Let us know how to use the new means of communication with discernment, in such a way as to favor communion among us.
  • Let us be credible witnesses of the Gospel by a life that is consistent, where the joy of being gathered by Jesus Christ is expressed.
  • Let us participate in the harmony of creation by positive words and gestures that are respectful of the environment.

The Community: Image of the Trinity

a circular letter

In this first part, I would like to take you on a journey to our origins, in order to continue deepening and engraving in our lives the richness of our community life.  In exploring the heart of Mother Marie Rivier’s charism, I asked myself the question: where did our Foundress find her source?

Knowing Jesus Christ in the Gospel…

To know in the biblical sense is above all a loving knowledge that touches and transforms our whole life; it is to experience, to live in depth, to establish a relationship, a communion, to live a presence. Taste and see how good the Lord is! Blessed is he who takes refuge in him, Psalm 33:9.

It is this knowledge that urges us to love and imitate Jesus with all our lives. Marie Rivier always tells us: We cannot love him without knowing him and we will only imitate him in so far as we love him. Let us therefore love our Lord in order to imitate him, and in order to love him, let us study him, meditate on him unceasingly, and put our utmost effort into knowing him. (E.S., p.19)

This is where I placed the focus, a loving knowledge and a deep relationship. Our place of transformation is an encounter with Christ. The transformative power of the Gospel in our personal lives will also revitalize our communities.
