EDUCATIONAL RESPONSE AMIDST PANDEMIC

The overwhelming threats of the Pandemic makes learning very challenging for the learners. The global crisis deprives the pupils to be in school for the face to face instruction. With the goal of bridging the gap in the delivery of instruction between in person, modular and online learning, Notre Dame of M’lang figured out the importance of extending help to learners cope with the effects and the challenges brought about by the Covid-19.  The school launched the Mobile Library to provide free use of distant learning tools and books to children in the public schools in the different barangays (basic  communities) of the Municipality of Mlang. More so, the learners are taught basic Mathematics and Science. This activity also aims to help the young ones enhance their reading skills.

As part of the commitment of the school to make learning possible anywhere or in their respective homes during these trying times, the teachers visit the different barangays every Friday to gather children and teach them for free. The teachers are also committed in providing a listening heart to those who are in need to be listened to and introduce basic Catechism to the Catholic learners. Amidst the new normal in education and with the Pandemic as background, Notre Dame of Mlang commits to ensure quality education for the young marginalized learners in the peripheries.
