God initiates the call and also inspires the response.
At the same time, he gives the capacity
to surrender to his mystery and to consent,
in joyful freedom, to all the detachments
that the acceptance of this gift implies.

Consecrated life
When you give yourselves to the Lord, when you consecrate yourself to his service, you give him all that you are, your soul with all its powers, your spirit with all its thoughts, your heart with all its affections and its desires, your body with all its senses. There is in you nothing that is yours, nothing over which you have dominion and of which you might dispose. Spiritual Writings (p.90)
