THE JOY OF CELEBRATING RELIGIOUS LIFE
PRINCE ALBERT
With great joy, on Marie Rivier’s Feast Day, February 3rd, 2021, we, the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary celebrated the Diamond Jubilee of our sisters’ religious life: Sister Priscilla Houde, (provincial assistant) Sister Rose-Marie Sanche, and Sister Albina Labonté.
Jubilees are times to remember and give thanks for our sisters’ fidelity to their call to follow Christ and to serve others as He did.
The opportunity was taken to highlight the 30th anniversary of religious life of Sister Evelyn Nedelec. We also remembered and prayed for Sister Aline Blais and Sister Josephine Sanche who were absent, but celebrating their 70th anniversary of religious life.
The festivities began in the chapel with the hymn, ‘Come Follow Me’. The Eucharist was celebrated by Father Maurice Fiolleau. His message was centered on joy and thanksgiving, inviting the jubilarians to continue in the footsteps of their foundress’ mission by keeping her charism alive in the diocese of Prince Albert. After the Offertory, the sisters renewed their vows of total commitment to the Lord. Following the celebration, a festive banquet was enjoyed by all in a joyful atmosphere.
We congratulate our sisters for having reached this milestone in their lives. Magnificat! May they continue Mother Rivier’s mission :
CONNAÎTRE JÉSUS CHRIST DANS L’ÉVANGILE, VIVRE JÉSUS CHRIST DANS SES MYSTÈRES, MONTRER ET ENSEIGNER JÉSUS CHRIST PAR TOUTE NOTRE VIE.
