With the growing psychosis of the pandemic, we are keeping faith and moving forward. Our pilgrimages are suspended so we take the opportunity to root ourselves more deeply in the spirit of our Rule of Life.<\/p>\n
This week we looked at the theme “the exigencies of community life” in the numbers C91 – C95. They invite us to value our love for community and for our sisters. This can be seen concretely through our unreserved commitment to the community, through the exercise of charity towards one another: praying and giving thanks for one another, sharing the sorrows and joys of our sisters, supporting each other during our dark moments when our YES to God is tested, when our zeal falters. As a community, we are also invited to celebrate Sunday, the Lord’s Day, in a joyful way – through liturgy and our moments of relaxation. All of this lived with the great simplicity that characterizes us and an ardent family spirit … in the end, only love will remain. (1 Cor 13:13)<\/p>\n

Together with the whole community we marked this day with a prayerful procession in the afternoon that went from the General House to St. Joseph’s House. There we shared refreshments and the joy of being together. The day before, St. Joseph had prepared a message for each one, one of his virtues. Two of these were particularly destined: for our religious family – ZEAL – and for our world – MERCY.
