Sister Jeanine Corbeil lives in a Saskatoon Senior Home at Columbian Manor.<\/p>\n
After being in the Pastoral Ministry, teaching RCIA and being a chaplain, a cook in a few of our convents she is now retired and loves listening and visiting seniors.<\/p>\n
Every day she gets to visit the seniors that live in the same building as her; they get to know each other during their coffee breaks.<\/p>\n
She also makes puzzles in the lounge room where she listens to the residents and gets to chat with them and talk about their problems and family lives. <\/p>\n
ngg_shortcode_0_placeholderShe also goes out and devotes her time to visit the seniors at Samaritan Place. She loves to visit the two Units of Alzheimer residents once a week for a whole day. The persons share with her and sometimes they have group discussions. They also have fun by singing together; one person sometimes composes the words to a song when she forgets the real words, she often sings songs by heart. This sharing brings unity among the seniors who are sometimes lonely and have no visitors.<\/p>\n
Visiting another senior home is St. Ann\u2019s Home where she goes and recites the Rosary with the residents; this is a time where they all look forward to this time of prayer. It makes them love the Blessed Virgin Mary more and gets them closer to God.<\/p>\n
