{"id":15051,"date":"2020-08-01T00:00:13","date_gmt":"2020-07-31T22:00:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/soeurs-de-la-presentation-de-marie.org\/pom\/?p=15051"},"modified":"2020-07-31T11:58:04","modified_gmt":"2020-07-31T09:58:04","slug":"province-of-prince-albert-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/soeurs-de-la-presentation-de-marie.org\/pom\/province-of-prince-albert-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Province of Prince Albert"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\">ECHOES OF THE MISSION<\/h1>\n<h1 style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>COPING WITH COVID-19 (I)<\/strong><\/h1>\n<p>As Covid-19 swept across the globe in March, it affected our way of doing things in our lives, how we worship, work and live with each other.<\/p>\n<p>We would like to share a few things we did to avoid getting this virus, during these months of Covid-19.&nbsp; Just like all of you, we tried to follow the guidelines demanded by our government, health authorities and church leaders.&nbsp; We entrusted everything to God and asked the Holy Spirit to guide our leaders during this Pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>The famous words we had to practice were:&nbsp; \u201c<em>Go home and stay home; we\u2019re all in this together!\u201d<\/em> &nbsp;We were house-bound and self-isolated \u2026 so we stayed home and kept our distance.&nbsp; As we shut ourselves indoors to avoid getting the virus, life started to be different, and our activities diminished.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft wp-image-15064\" src=\"https:\/\/soeurs-de-la-presentation-de-marie.org\/pom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/5-Pray-S.-Cec..jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"345\" height=\"242\"><\/p>\n<p>We all began to live a different way of living Lent and we focused on Jesus\u2019 Passion as we journeyed towards Easter.&nbsp; We were like the disciples after Jesus was arrested in the Garden:&nbsp; the disciples kept their distance from Jesus and were locked up in their homes in fear. &nbsp;Our priority was on prayer.&nbsp; We remembered Pope Francis\u2019 phrase:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLet us pray for creativity during this crisis\u201d.&nbsp; Our isolation has turned into solitude.&nbsp; Even if we were apart and kept our distance, we remained united through our faith in Jesus-Christ.<\/p>\n<p>Like Jesus, we went to the desert to pray.&nbsp; We made novenas, did many hours of adoration and reflection, we did spiritual readings, made sacrifices, and prayed for the sick and the care-givers.&nbsp; The pandemic shut the door on many of our pastimes, so we spent more time at home, still treasured our daily walks, enjoyed playing cards and developed our hobbies: sewing, knitting and crochet, puzzles, etc.<\/p>\n<p>ngg_shortcode_0_placeholderWe also spent time to prioritize prayer.&nbsp; It is only with Jesus that we can face life\u2019s challenges with confidence and hope.&nbsp; We prayed for God\u2019s providential intervention as we followed the Pope\u2019s recommendations during the Pandemic, especially at the end of May.&nbsp; We prayed and invoked the aid of the Virgin Mary during the broadcasting of the rosary from the Grotto in Lourdes as well as in the Vatican Garden in Rome.&nbsp; It truly was a moment of \u201cworld prayer\u201d!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>ECHOES OF THE MISSION COPING WITH COVID-19 (I) As Covid-19 swept across the globe in March, it affected our way of doing things in our lives, how we worship, work and live with each other.
