I come to know more about the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary especially Blessed Marie Rivier in the year 2016. She taught me the importance of prayer to live a life deeply rooted in Christ. She reminded me that, to be close to Jesus is to surrender all to God. She inspired me to be compassionate to the needy. She taught me that even a small act of kindness or spending time to the needy is a great way of showing compassion. Her ardent love for Jesus Christ inspired me to love Jesus more. Marie Rivier continue to guide my decisions in life. My direction in life becomes clearer for me<\/p>\n

I never studied at a PM school. I got acquainted with the PM sisters when I entered the seminary. So all of my impressions about Mo. Rivier, are from my countless encounters with my PM Sisters friends, especially the late Sr. Delicia Amador, PM. Mother Rivier’s love for priests- that influenced me in my journey to priesthood. Her love for priests was shown to me by the PM Sisters of Notre Dame of Mlang through those very long hours of “spiritual directions” and deep conversations we had. Many times I was being challenged and reminded by the PM sisters because of my stubbornness in my formation. I won\u2019t forget one concrete reminder I received from them: “Robert, don’t just focus on developing your head but develop your heart as well.<\/p>\n

I believe these reminders are concrete expressions of love for the priesthood. The PM Sisters shared this gift to me and through them, I thank Mo. Rivier.<\/p>\n

Unang katanungang dapat kong sagutin bilang testimonya kung sino ba talaga sa buhay ko si Blessed Marie Rivier? (Who is Blessed Marie in my life?) Kung ang ating Panginoon ay ating mabuting pastol, si Blessed Marie Rivier ay itinuturing ko ring aking mabuting pastol. Bakit? Ito ako ngayon, nagpapatunay  sa kanyang pagiging mabuting pastol. Itinuturing ko ang aking sarili bilang tagumpay at simbolo ng kanyang mabuting pamamastol. Kung hindi dahil sa kanyang mapag-arugang kamay(PM Sisters), maaaring ako\u2019y napariwara(di nakatapos ng pag-aaral) at napahamak(lalong maghihirap).<\/p>\n

Kung tatanungin naman ako paano nakaimpluwensya sa buhay ko ang buhay ni Blessed Marie Rivier? (How did Blessed Marie Rivier\u2019s life influenced my life\/vocation?  Napakalaki!  Si Blessed Marie Rivier sa pamamagitan ng kanyang mga instrumento(sisters of PM Congregation) ang dahilan bakit sa palagay ko na ito talaga buhay\/bokasyon para sa akin. Siya ang nagbigay liwanag sa akin noon sa tunay na bokasyon ay ang pagiging dalaga ko hanggang ngayon. Ito ang talagang makabuluhang bokasyon para sa akin dahil walang konti mang pagsisisi at masaya akong nagtatrabaho at nagsisilbi sa simbahan bilang tagapagbasa(LCM). Nang dahil din kay Blessed Marie Rivier, naging makabuluhan ang aking buhay-pananampalataya.<\/p>\n
