Who to support or help during the Lenten season?<\/p>\n<p>After inquiring with Spiritus, the Catholic student house in Rouen, and hearing of the urgent needs of students, some parishioners have proposed specific support for the students of Rouen, a poverty on our doorstep.<\/p>\n<p>We know that young people are particularly affected by the consequences of the Covid, because many small jobs have disappeared and therefore essential income for them &#8230; If many aids have been put in place such as meals at 1 \u20ac, little help exists in terms of hygiene products which are expensive and it is a real precariousness for students, and especially among foreign students.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-20753\" src=\"https:\/\/soeurs-de-la-presentation-de-marie.org\/pom\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/04\/Action-Careme-2-359x510.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"359\" height=\"510\">The Lenten solidarity project of the parish was therefore quite found: to help young people from here, who need us. A collection was therefore launched: to buy products and deposit them during the whole Lenten period so that they could be given to the students at Easter. Some of them even invested themselves in sewing washable cotton wipes: in addition to sharing material, it is also a gift of time and ecology!<\/p>\n<p>The boxes were filled quickly: large bags well filled, a small bar of soap discreetly deposited, like the widow&#8217;s offering in the Temple&#8230; 210 kg of products were finally given to the student parish.
