Almost 2 years ago, Sister Anita and ten other Sisters of the Presentation of Mary moved to their new residence, the Infirmary of the Good Shepherd Sisters, scim. Her quick wit, her love for singing, and the great energy that kept her walking the corridors soon endeared Sister Anita to her new companions who were amazed at her advanced age.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #003366;\">Due to the limitations set in place by the pandemic, her birthday celebration was simple but filled with joy. All in attendance prayed for her intentions at the morning celebration of the Eucharist, followed by a hallway gathering to sing \u201cHappy Birthday,\u201d and an offering of a gift bag filled with surprises. In the afternoon, the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary who reside at the Residence gathered for a birthday collation with Sister Anita\u2019s favorite dessert: a cup of coffee and a donut! Visits were limited, so a basket of beautiful birthday cards from sisters around the Province was presented to her, cards she continues to read and enjoy.
