225 THANKSGIVING CELEBRATION<\/span><\/h1>\n

 <\/p>\n

                We celebrated like a large family of Marie Rivier. The Thanksgiving celebration of the 225th Foundation Anniversary in our small community of two Sisters community was memorable and meaningful event. There was plenty of help from everywhere!<\/span><\/p>\n

               Both Irish and Filipino communities of Marie Rivier Associates, Eucharistic Adorers,  and friends have joined us in the celebration!  The Eucharist was the highlight of the event. The mass was celebrated in the Immaculate Conception Cathedral by Fr. Victor Samugana, MSP a Missionary Priest from Nigeria. He was concelebrated by Fr. Julian Lupot, and Fr. Jonan Rebamontan, both are missionary priest from the Philippines. The Marie Rivier Associates from Belfast, North Ireland, has joined the choir which made the liturgical celebration more lively and joyful. The Renewal of Vows during the eucharistic celebration became meaningful for us and the parishioners who have witnessed it. Most of the people present in the celebration haven\u2019t heard for a long while a Religious Renewal of Vows of Chastity, Poverty, and Obedience.  It brought them a deeper appreciation of the beauty of Consecrated Life.<\/span><\/p>\n

The fellowship meal after the Eucharistic celebration was held in the Parish\u2019s Gillooly  Hall. It was an experience of a Rivier family Spirit. The Filipino community had helped us in preparing and welcoming the Irish visitors.  They brought with them food and delicacies for everyone to enjoy. We concretely experienced the abundance of God\u2019s blessings through their sharing and support.   It was indeed a celebration of life, of family spirit, of sharing, and thanksgiving to God\u2019s tenderness and mercy.
