Capitulants online meeting with Lay Consecrated
\nThe General Chapter is a celebration of our communion. Today, with our lay consecrated members, we listen with intent to what they say to the as we move forward towards the future in the footsteps of St. Marie Rivier. <\/p>\n

The meeting brought together the General Council, the delegates to the General Chapter and the substitutes and consecrated laity from six countries. <\/p>\n
A meditative prayer gave the tone of depth to the encounter. Then a word of welcome from Mother Maria dos Anjos Alves, expressed the joy of being together for this moment of listening and sharing. At first, the laity answered the question: What do you want to say to the Chapter as a group of consecrated laity so that we can move together towards the future in the footsteps of Saint Marie Rivier? <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n A spokesperson from each country gave a good summary of the thoughts of his group. During this listening time, each participant had to write down challenges or calls that they perceived and then share them in small groups. The main points that emerged concern formation, the desire for international or continental meetings, thirst for prayer, commitment to the poor, a great desire to know Saint Marie Rivier better and to make Jesus Christ known and loved.<\/p>\n ngg_shortcode_0_placeholderThe session was concluded with a word of encouragement from the Superior General and the Salve Regina prayer. The participants appreciated the fact of getting to know the Consecrated Laity better.
