Indeed, after having learned in recent days about the life of the provinces regions missions, to have heard the reports of Mother Marie des Anges and her councilors on the Animation of the Congregation during these 6 years as well as the financial report, we have two days that are animated by Sr Adrianna Milmanda on the theme of Inculturality. Throughout the day, will alternate lessons, participatory dynamics, exchanges and case studies. Many concrete examples of his experience are greatly appreciated. It was an exciting day. And as the speaker had announced, many questions would appear.<\/p>\n
We took the time to clarify the terms monocultural, bicultural, transcultural and intercultural groups, international. She tells us that there are many definitions of the concept of culture.<\/p>\n
The call to live and build intercultural communities is in line with God’s desire and the quest of our contemporaries. It’s a demanding journey of faith, requiring the voluntary consent of each and every one of us. Little by little, we are gaining a better understanding of the road ahead. From ethnocentrism to ethnorelativism! We’re convinced that it’s in meeting another culture that we truly discover our own.<\/p>\n
We end the day with mass led by our sisters from Gambia.<\/p>\n
After a good night’s sleep, we plunge into the second part of the teaching on interculturality, more rooted in the Word. It’s going to be a wonderful experience!<\/p>\n
