{"id":36050,"date":"2025-02-20T15:42:38","date_gmt":"2025-02-20T14:42:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/soeurs-de-la-presentation-de-marie.org\/pom\/?p=36050"},"modified":"2025-03-27T15:52:05","modified_gmt":"2025-03-27T14:52:05","slug":"marie-rivier-associates-45-years-in-the-philippines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/soeurs-de-la-presentation-de-marie.org\/pom\/marie-rivier-associates-45-years-in-the-philippines\/","title":{"rendered":"MARIE RIVIER ASSOCIATES 45 YEARS IN THE PHILIPPINES"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ECHOES OF THE MARIE RIVIER ASSOCIATION<br \/>\n45TH FOUNDATION ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION<br \/>\nPHILIPPINE PROVINCE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\tCelebrating a Jubilee is a milestone that calls for Spiritual Renewal and inner transformation as well as an occasion to dream for a better future. <\/p>\n<p>\tAt present, the Marie Rivier Association of the Philippine Province has 267 active members and 29 newly accepted members. We have journeyed together for 45 years inspired by Saint Marie Rivier\u2019s faith in the power of prayer, love for the poor, passion to make Jesus Christ known and loved through Catechism of children and youth and spreading the Gospel through works of compassion and love. <\/p>\n<p>\tThe Day of celebration started with a prayer service honoring Saint Marie Rivier by offering her flowers and candles. During the intercessory prayer, we asked her to intercede  for  the success of our activities and that as members of the Marie Rivier Association we may be able to live her spirit and virtues. <\/p>\n<p>\tThe theme of the gathering, <em>MRA @ 45: Grateful Stewards of Love and Care<\/em>, was deepened by Sister Charito Gorgonio, p.m., the Provincial Superior of the Philippine Province. She cited examples how saint Marie Rivier in her lifetime showed love and care as a response to the realities of her time especially during the French Revolution.  She challenged the MRAs as the present thousands lives of Saint Marie Rivier to make alive her legacy of compassion as a response to our present world, starting with their own family and Parish Community.  After the conference, there was a moment of reflection  and sharing. The MRAs  were divided into small groups composed of members from different Chapters. It was a very enriching sharing. One of the groups shared that they were inspired by the conference and the sharing of their companions from the different chapters. One of their concrete response to the challenges of Sister Charito was to  use the social Media to make known Saint Marie Rivier\u2019s Charism and invite more members to follow in her footsteps to make Jesus Christ known and loved. The morning activities was concluded with the Eucharistic Celebration presided by Father Ferdinand Lariosa, DCD and the acceptance of 29 aspirants to the Marie Rivier Association. <\/p>\n<p>\tThe Sisters who were instrumental in the foundation of the different Chapters and the founding members who were present during the celebration were recognized. Each Chapter presented a poem, drama and dance based of the theme of the gathering. It was a lively and enjoyable day for all the members. A Meditative Rosary on the Immaculate Heart of Mary concluded the celebration.
