The final weeks of our renewal program found us at Assisi; city of peace and simplicity. Though many of the frescoes depicting the lives of Francis and Clare in the Basilicas, were destroyed in the earthquakes at the early part of this century, we were still able to appreciate the radical simplicity and generosity which propelled their lives. The Basilica of St. Francis dominates the quaint walled town, a massive tribute to the \u201cPoverello.\u201d The Basilica of St. Clare has a simple reverence and contains the Crucifix which spoke to Francis, asking him to rebuild the Church. The Church of St. Damian and the subsequent monastery that surrounds it, is a peaceful tribute to Clare and the first nuns of the Poor Clares.<\/p>\n
The hermitage Francis established high above the city was a beautiful place of prayer. The birds and wind drew us into a profound peace and openness to God. <\/p>\n
With Our final pilgrimage behind us, we began the process of saying our goodbyes. Our final session together, consisted of sharing how this experience has shaped us and a sending forth ritual. We also revealed our secret \u201cprayer partners\u201d to one another and exchanged gifts. Tears flowed as we expressed our appreciation for each other and for all that we have shared.<\/p>\n
We are all grateful for our PM family and desire to share what we have lived with those we return to in our missions. It is our hope that what cannot be expressed in words of this experience, will be seen in how we live a deeper PM Spirituality.<\/p>\n

De la misma manera los artes y las im\u00e1genes trasmiten un encuentro con Dios, este Dios que se encuentra en toda la creaci\u00f3n, ah\u00ed uno encuentra el amor hecho realidad y la paz que tanto cada uno de nosotros ansiamos. Esta experiencia ha sido bueno y necesario para constatar que el seguimiento radical es posible a pesar que uno encuentro dificultades.<\/p>\n 2). Tuvimos una celebraci\u00f3n de gratitud y a la vez permitirnos ver hasta donde hemos llegado desde el inicio de la experiencia, cada fuimos remarcando cuales han sido estas experiencias que nos permitieron llegar hasta tal punto. En esta misma celebraci\u00f3n cada una ha recibido una bendici\u00f3n para la misi\u00f3n que ha sido confiada en lugares donde ya Dios nos precede.<\/p>\n Finalmente hemos tenido la oportunidad de decir gracias y hasta pronto hasta donde Dios nos permita encontrarnos. Apr\u00e8s quelques jours de partage autour du th\u00e8me de la Saintet\u00e9, nous sommes all\u00e9es suivre les pas d\u2019un Saint Homme et d\u2019une Sainte femme \u00e0 Assise : Saint Fran\u00e7ois et Sainte Claire qui n\u2019ont v\u00e9cu que pour la gloire de Dieu par la voie de la pauvret\u00e9. \u201cDieu est et cela suffit\u201c nous dit Saint Fran\u00e7ois. Nous y avons v\u00e9cu des moments forts de pri\u00e8re, de silence int\u00e9rieur, de c\u0153ur \u00e0 c\u0153ur avec notre unique n\u00e9cessaire dans les diverses \u00e9glises visit\u00e9es et au Caceri. De retour \u00e0 Castel, arrive le moment des remerciements \u00e0 la M\u00e8re et \u00e0 toute la communaut\u00e9 de Castel. Nous avons termin\u00e9 notre temps de ressourcement \u00e0 la maison g\u00e9n\u00e9rale par une belle c\u00e9l\u00e9bration significative et pleine d\u2019\u00e9motions.
