11 September
The Sending forth Ceremony was set at 11h00. At 9h15 the livestreaming crews arrived and begun setting their equipment. The movements inside the chapel signified an upcoming celebration!
Then the sisters, came one by one, in twos and in groups. In due time the celebration began!
The General chapter’s Final Message was beautifully read in different languages. After reading each part, the congregation responded through singing the refrain of the song, An Open Gospel:
Combien je voudrais être
Un Évangile ouvert
Où les gens reconnaissent
Entre les lignes de ma vie… Jésus-Christ!
The second highlight of the celebration was the sending forth CALL accompanied by the giving of the symbol: the small bells of Saint Marie Rivier!
We recall that Marie Rivier used to ring a bell to call the Virgin Mary for help. Today as we follow Jesus Christ together in her footsteps, we need the help of Mary, our Mother and Guardian. Each one of us received the small. What a delightful surprise!
As we sang, and waved the small bells, it produced a tiny beautiful tinkling sound! Everyone was happy to received it as shown in their faces! We sensed a deeper and closer belonging to the Woman Apostle!

We were sent forth. One can sensed that the 29th General chapter was over but we continue to write the pages of the new chapter of our lives as a Congregation…
The love of Christ impels us…
let us move forward on the footsteps of Saint Marie Rivier!
Towards where the Spirit leads…
