At 11am, we begun to gather in the big room to welcome the new team. Mother Angèle Dion, gave words of wisdom and welcome for the new leadership team. She also thanked them for their YES and availability in the service of the general council, which will change their lives.
It is with thanksgiving that we welcome you as a beautiful gift from the Lord, so that together, urged on by the love of Christ, we can move forward confidently in the footsteps of Saint Mary Rivier. – S. Angèle Dion- (to read the full text in French MESSAGE_GRATITUDE click here)
At 16h00, we were gathered in the Chapter Hall and continued to celebrate the youthful Christ in the World Youth Day held in Lisbon, Portugal. In the PM Group many have participated the Diocesan Pre WYD in Fatima, Leiria and the week of the World Youth Day in Lisbon. Mother Maria dos Anjos was present for our young people especially on the PM Youth Day. This festival of the young people was held from July 26th – August 6th, 2023. The WYD was graced by Pope Francis himself. These days marked the lives of the young people and of our young Sisters who accompanied them.
The evening barbecue was a treat for everyone. It was a cool evening outside of the center, which gave us the chance to chill out, to gaze at the blue sky, and the beautiful setting sun behind the hills of lake Nemi. We thanked Bro John and the kitchen staff for the delicious barbecue.
We sang and sketched some dancing steps which enjoined everyone, creating camaraderie and joy of being together in this simple get together.
