STUDY OF PROPOSALS

After the big and exciting Sunday, we all got up to begin the day with Lauds in language groups. The Psalms spoke so well the morning prayer of our hearts: ‘Like the dear that yearns for running streams so my soul is yearning for you, my God.’ Ps 42

The new week begun and we were approching the descend of the flight we have been journeying together in the past weeks. Today’s agenda was the study of proposals to the General Administration coming from the different Province, Regions and Missions. Before the General chapter, these proposals were submitted to the General Administration and a Commission gathered together those of same category. Some Proposals can be turned into a Wish and vice versa.

After some orientations, the serious study and discernment begun! There was a personal time for reflection followed by a small group sharing. After discussion of a certain Proposal, the capitulants were given a space before making a final vote. A Proposal can be voted positively or in a negation. Whenever a Porposal passed the Chapter positively, it becomes an obligation for the General Administration and in fact for the whole Congregation to implement and to live them well as the pathway for the all the sisters of the Presentation of Mary for the next six years.
