Today is the Feast of the Pentecost, the outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon the Church. A General Chapter is a Pentecost experience. In this session we are led to dwell on the question, ‘What Pentecost are we called to live in the Congregation?’ A question that would bring us to a new and wider horizon. Today, the small steps begin… 

A blessed feast of Pentecost!

Our opening prayer today was the beautiful hymn, Veni Creator Spiritus sang by the Cantos Catolico. Immediately after the prayer, Sr. Marian gave an orientation for the group sharing. Then, the participants joined their language group in break in rooms to share on the following questions:

• What is the Pentecost that we are called to live as a Congregation?
• What are the elements do we want to highlight? 

Secretaries were chosen in each group to take note of the ideas shared and to give reports during the plenary session. The sharing was remarkable. There was openness and the feedback from the groups was very good. 

Mother Maria dos Anjos gave her concluding message and thanked all the participants and particularly our facilitator, Sr. Marian Murcia.

She also shared some family news:

• Our Chapter group will have the joy of a private audience with Pope Francis on the 28^th of August.
• Our Postulator will come to the Chapter to meet the Sisters.

The following Sisters also shared some information:

• Charito introduced the homepage of 29^th General Chapter website. The website will be our connection with the Sisters around the world.
• Claudette announced the publication of a SAINT MARIE RIVIER Comic Book that will be ready for delivery mid-June.
• Louise reminded us of the next Zoom meetings on July 7^th and 8^th with the Associates and the Lay Consecrated persons.

The song of the Salve Regina ended our session.

Hoy es la fiesta de Pentecostés, efusión del Espíritu Santo sobre la Iglesia. Un Capítulo General es una experiencia de Pentecostés. En la sesión se nos lleva a detenernos en la pregunta: “¿Qué Pentecostés estamos llamados a vivir en la Congregación?”. Una pregunta que nos lleve a un horizonte nuevo y más amplio. Hoy comienzan los pequeños pasos… 

¡Bendecida fiesta de Pentecostés!

La sesión comenzó con el hermoso himno Veni Creator Spiritus  sacado de  Cantos Católicos (internet) así como nuestra oración de este día.  Inmediatamente, la Hna. Marian dio la orientación de la reunión. Las participantes se reunieron  para compartir en pequeños grupos. Las preguntas para reflexionar y compartir fueron las siguientes:

• ¿Cuál es el Pentecostés que estamos llamadas a vivir como Congregación?
• ¿Cuáles son los elementos que queremos destacar?

Las secretarias de los grupos fueron elegidas para tomar nota de las aportaciones y compartirlas  durante la sesión plenaria. En la sesión plenaria, la puesta en común fue notable. Hubo sinceridad  y  las reacciones de los grupos fueron muy buenas.  Se tomó nota de todos los puntos compartidos.

La Madre dio su mensaje final y agradeció a todas las participantes y en particular a nuestra animadora, S Marian Murcia. También compartió algunas noticias de familia: las participantes al Capítulo General tendrán una audiencia privada con el Papa Francisco.   También mencionó la visita del Postulador en uno de los días del Capítulo para conocer y saludar a las Hermanas. La Hna. Charito presentó la página web del 29º Capítulo General.  El sitio web será nuestra conexión con las Hermanas de todo el mundo. S Claudette anunció la etapa de publicación de la biografía de Santa María Rivier, y S Louise recordó  la próxima reunión Zoom del 7-8 de julio con los miembros de la Familia Espiritual.
