A Blessing that inspires Blessings

The Holy Cross of Malalag, Inc. in the  Philippines through an aid, have built a new school building. Just last July 3, 2023 the new two-storey school building was blessed by the Bishop of Digos, Most Reverend Guillermo Afable, D.D.. The building contains the new convent of the PM Sisters (replacing the old one destroyed by the earthquake of 2019) and the facilities for the Senior High School program of the school.

The new building now enables the school to offer the courses which were not available in the municipality before thus making it accessible for students who cannot afford to study in the cities.

With the new building, the Alumni Association of the school was able to successfully conduct a medical mission that benefited many poor people last September 30, 2023. The joy was great not only for those who received the blessings of free medical, dental, and optical services but even for the alumni and friends who served as doctors, nurses, pharmacists and volunteers. It is good to note that the building stands upon a piece of land donated by Dr. Rizalito Golingay and his family of doctors who are also alumni of the school.

Even free food were also served by the alumni and other generous people. The blessings shared were not only material as medicines, wheelchairs and eyeglasses but also spiritual such as camaraderie, unity, friendship, love and gratitude. Saint Marie Rivier must be very happy looking down upon her children, the students of her daughters,  caring for those whom she loved with Jesus and His Mother: the poor.

The Sisters and the people in Malalag are very grateful to Mother Maria dos Anjos and her Council in the General Administration and the PM Sisterswho set up the Fonds Pontanier to makethis new school building a possibility. It is truly a blessing that is inspiring more blessings to come down upon this part of God’s kingdom.
