Meditation on our commitment
The Virgin Mary walks with us on our paths of faith and covenant. On this May 31, 2024, feast of “The Visitation”, Mother Mary turns our steps resolutely towards God. We are 8 wives to say thank you to Christ. On this blessed day of my first commitment, and for the seven other “Graces of God”, some of whom were celebrating their 13th renewal as consecrated laywomen with the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary, I can hear Mary saying to us once again, as she did to the Servants at Cana: “Do whatever Jesus tells you”. In this experience of mercy and light, Jesus confirms: “It is not you who have chosen me, but I who have chosen you, that you may go and bear fruit, fruit that will last. Blessed are You, Lord, for this day when “Your Power manifests itself in our weakness, Your Grace will be sufficient for us”. We want to sing and dance with joy for you, sweet Mary, dawn of the newborn Sun, and for you, Jesus, our Peace and our Homeland, as Your Spirit of tenderness accompanies us on our roads to Emmaus.
