OUR HEARTS ARE FILLED WITH WONDER!
Celebrating a holy life! It is good to be here!
Three months and five days have passed since the celebration of the Canonization of Marie Rivier and I can still touch the awesome feeling of participating in these historical days for our Congregation. The 5 years of prayerful waiting are over. The canonization is now part of the immediate past, an event worth retelling, lest we forget and become preoccupied with the many demands of our present occupations. The retelling of a story that marked us can make this past event present again today! We will never forget and we will be forever grateful!

A triduum of events surrounded the Canonization: a Vigil of Community Prayer, the day of the Canonization itself, followed by a day of thanksgiving. The dates, May 14, 15, and 16, 2022 were remarkably hectic days filled with great emotions, in particular that of joy, praise and gratitude! These dates have certainly been written in all our community annals as well as etched in our hearts! The hundreds of participants can probably still feel the vibration of the energy, like the sound of the tam-tam that gave rhythm to what we lived during these moments.
The beautiful Basilica of St. Ambrose and St. Charles welcomed many delegations – over 600 people – from the different countries where we minister as Sisters of the Presentation of Mary. The Celebration of Community Prayer was a magnificent manifestation of praise to our glorious God whose action in and through the life of Marie Rivier allowed the Church to declare her a Saint! A Saint of our Mother Church! The beautiful frescoes and magnificent domes conveyed the dignity and magnificence of God. The splendour of the Basilica already expressed the highest praise that we desired to offer God for his wonderful mercy shown to His holy servant, Saint Marie Rivier! The flow of praise in songs, testimonies, reflection, and dance gave us the sense of truly celebrating a holy life, a life that had touched many other lives and will continue to do so in the years to come!
