ON THE 1ST CANONIZATION ANNIVERSARY OF
ST. MARIE RIVIER

The Philippine Province celebrated the anniversaries of Religious profession of the following sisters:
Golden Jubilee
Sr. Wilhelmina Bugante
Ruby Jubilee
Sr. Evelyn Catulong
Sr. Elvira Antoque
Silver jubilee
Sr. Cresencia Cabahug
Sr. Teodora Nobleza
Sr. Leonora Camangyan
On May 15, 2023, on the occasion of the first anniversary of canonization of St. Marie Rivier, was a gathering of great joy and celebration of God’s unboundless faithfulness and love. Thus, the PM sisters, the families and friends of the jubilarians, some clergy of the Archdiocese of Davao and religious priests, religious brothers and sisters, came together at the banquet of the Lord with Most Reverend George Rimando, DD the auxiliary bishop of Davao who presided over the Eucharistic celebration. In his homily, he praised the jubilarians on the fruitfulness of their witnessing that has been lived out through the years. He added that the fruitful years points to the source which is God’s generosity. He as well urges everyone to invoke the Holy Spirit to continue making Jesus Christ known and loved in the midst of materialism with courage, boldness and strong faith. He quoted St. Marie Rivier’s words: “I wish you an ardent love for Jesus Christ and I pray to him that He might be your light, your strength, your rampart, your rock and citadel”.
