Spiritual Renewal 2020
Renewal in quarantine!
This week we continued our reflection on the theme of Community Life by looking at eight “cements” that help to build and strengthen our life in community. Meditating on our Rule of Life, the writings of Pope Francis and other writings of the Church and in the light of our lived experience, we shared how the Lord calls us to commit ourselves ever more faithfully in the building up of our community so that, as Robert Lebel sings :
♪ …seeing the way we live,
astonished, people can say:
See how they love one another!
See how happy they are! ♪

8 cements of Community Life :
1. The Word of God (C83)
2. Reconciliation (C84)
3. Liturgical prayer (C85)
4. Eucharist (C86)
5. The local Superior (C87)
6. Community meetings (C88)
7. A milieu of formation and of human and spiritual growth. (C89)
8. Silence (C90)
On Sunday, March 15th, we had the joy of celebrating together the renewal of vows of Sr. Jessica from Brazil.
With the coronavirus in the country, we share the same fate as Italian citizens who cannot leave their homes. Thus, we have a beautiful opportunity to put into practice all that we learn about community life and to come together in prayer imploring, through the hands of the Virgin Mary, God’s mercy for our world today.
