A Mass in honor of the Sisters of the Presentation of Mary was celebrated at the Holy Family Church in Lewiston last August 24, 2025, Sunday. A dozen PM Sisters came to join the celebration.
The pastor of the Prince of Peace Parish in the Diocese of Portland thanked the Sisters for tirelessly giving the best of themselves to the community for nearly a 100 years.
The people showed much love and gratitude as they bid farewell to our last two remaining Sisters in that area, Sr. Marie May Lausier, PM and Sr. Cecile Mondor, PM. When these two Sisters will transfer to their new community, there will no longer be a PM presence in Maine. However, we believe that Saint Marie Rivier’s spirit will live on in the hearts and minds of all the people whose lives had been touched by our Sisters.
